Worksop College is situated in over three hundred acres of magnificent countryside in North Nottinghamshire, easily accessible from both M1 and A1 and close to major airports. Non-selective, the College provides education for over 400 pupils, boys and girls, aged 13 to 18 and was founded by Nathaniel Woodard over 100 years ago. We hold true to the aims of our founder, to provide a Christian education in the context of breadth and challenge ensuring our pupils learn values that will hold them in good stead as they progress to adulthood. We believe our pastoral care is second to none and our pupils reach the highest attainable academic standards against a background of care, tolerance and harmony.

The facilities are excellent; 2 Computer Centres, computer-equipped Art and Design Technology Departments, modern laboratories, music school, theatre and drama studio, Modern Languages department with new computer language laboratory, lecture theatre , central library, extensive playing fields, indoor heated swimming pool, two flood-lit astro-pitches, an 18 hole golf course and sports hall.

Excellence is encouraged in all aspects of school life and pupils are offered a wide range of traditional and modern subjects to GCSE, AS and A2 levels with well over ninety-five percent proceeding to the Higher Education. With specific policies to stretch the most able and to inspire independent learning, we produce outstanding results at GCSE and A level. Equally we are proud of our record of bringing out the best in those for whom academic achievement is more elusive. In 2011 our A-Level pass rate was 99% with 73% at grade C or above and 3% of our candidates gaining one or more of the new A* Grades. At GCSE, the pass rate was 100%, with 87% at A* to C and 49% of students gaining A or A*.

The College has a magnificent Chapel that acts as a focus for the spiritual and moral well being of the community. Whilst the majority of pupils are Anglicans, pupils of other creeds and faiths are welcome.

Our outstanding pastoral system, recognised in a recent inspection, supports pupils in their personal and academic development.

Art, drama, music and sport flourish and there have been a number of overseas visits in recent years to the United States, South Africa, Europe, Chile and Sri Lanka. Several pupils play their sport at international level and our 1st rugby and hockey teams enjoy regular success in national competitions.
