Padworth College is a co-educational boarding and day school which offers an outstanding opportunity for students aged 13-19 years from the UK and all over the world to be taught in very small classes in a small and friendly school with an informal atmosphere where excellent results are routinely achieved. A significant proportion of students come from overseas creating a vibrant international community; equally a substantial number are British and many of them are day students.

The College’s rural setting provides a peaceful and secure environment for study; yet the campus is within easy reach of the university town of Reading and just 45 minutes by road from Heathrow.

Padworth offers a wide range of flexible academic programmes onto which students can be accepted at any point in the year and may stay for just one term or as long as five years.

GCSE – a full two-year programme leading to GCSE/IGCSE in up to nine subjects with a full range of supporting courses and activities; One-year GCSE/IGCSE programme is also available in up to five subjects.

A Level – a two year programme – students choose 3, 4 or 5 subjects from the wide range available.

University Access – a one year course in Business, Finance and Law as well as extensive English Language tuition for students which is accepted in place of A Levels by a number of British universities.

International Study Centre – Full or part-time English language tuition for students with any level of English for one term or more. Many students move on to GCSE or A Level academic programmes as their English improves.

Modern classrooms and specialist science laboratories are complemented by a well equipped IT room, library and art department.

A number of generous scholarships worth up to 50% of the total fees (tuition and accommodation) are available for study at GCSE and A Level as well as for Art.

Outstanding pastoral care is provided by the team of experienced resident house staff whose role is to guide and support students. House staff also organise an activities and excursions programme in the evenings and at weekends for students to make the most of school life.

Boarding students are accommodated in comfortable single or shared bedrooms with sitting rooms and kitchen facilities in each boarding house. The campus offers a range of sports facilities including an outdoor swimming pool and tennis and basketball courts.
