Dunottar aims to identify and develop the strengths of each individual girl in order to develop confidence and enable each girl to achieve her potential. We are proud that our students leave as confident, articulate young women, qualified not only to succeed in their future careers but also to handle the increasingly complex challenges and opportunities of adult life.

The school is situated in 15 acres of beautiful grounds on the outskirts of Reigate. A wide range of GCSE and A Level subjects is offered as part of a broad and balanced curriculum. Girls are prepared for a variety of higher education courses, including entrance to Oxford and Cambridge. The school has excellent teaching facilities including a dedicated computer suite incorporating the latest information technology systems, a purpose-built laboratory block for sciences, library, art studios and sixth form facilities. The Junior Department is housed in its own building on site, with a secure, self-contained nursery unit. Juniors have the benefit of all Senior School facilities. The school provides breakfast and after school care to help working parents.

We are proud of our excellent results at GCSE and Advanced Level; we are also proud of those who excel in an enormous range of other activities. The performing arts play a vital role in the life of the school, with three choirs and four flourishing orchestras, including a chamber orchestra that regularly tours throughout Europe. Sports facilities are outstanding; as well as the impressive Sports Hall we have a large heated indoor swimming pool, lacrosse pitches, netball and tennis courts and an athletics track.

Pupils enjoy an extensive extra-curricular programme with a wide range of activities including many in music, dance, drama and sport. There are more than twenty clubs to choose from – art, archaeology, gardening, DT, maths and drama clubs to name but a few.

11+ entrance examinations are held in January for entry the following September. 13+ entrance examinations are held in November for entry the following September. Early application is advisable. Academic and Music Scholarships are available at ages 11+, 13+ and 16+. Sports Scholarships are available at 11+, 13+ and 16+. Art and Design Scholarships are available at 13+ and 16+. Girls are also accepted directly into the Sixth Form. Applications for a place into any other year group will also be considered if there are spaces. The School operates an Assisted Places Scheme.

We invite you to visit us at any time. You will find a warm welcome and I hope you will enjoy seeing a purposeful, caring and above all HAPPY school.
