I am very happy to welcome you to the Thorpe House School community. It is an exciting and dynamic place to be.

There are many reasons why Thorpe has a hundred years of excellence behind it, and why I am looking forward to the next century to come. Thorpe has always stayed true to its values of ensuring that every student is known for who they are and what they bring to school every day. First and foremost we are a community of learners, where each child is supported and challenged to do their very best. This is seen in our classrooms, science laboratories, sports fields, black box theatre, within our teams, across our commitment to adventure and action, and beyond. As a result, learning is engaging and enjoyable and the students here thrive within a safe and caring school, with a healthy enrolment that is neither too big or too small.

Our aim is always to prepare our students for their next steps and ultimately for their journey after school. They are part of a nurturing environment at Thorpe and our high expectations about respect, care and mutual understanding help to make them both curious and engaged with the world. Our students are supported to achieve by dedicated and professional staff who ensure that academic success is balanced with high quality pastoral care.

Thorpe is a school where your child will make friends, enjoy the many opportunities ahead of them, and receive personalised attention in and out of the classroom.

I very much look forward to getting to know every child and family as we all engage together in this very strong community that is Thorpe House School.

      Thorpe House Parent

The Senior Department allows boys to mature and flourish in their individual skills and subjects by having small class numbers and the nurturing of some of the teachers has been paramount in building our son's confidence. Both of my boys have Dyspraxia and my eldest also has Dyslexia but the...

      Thorpe House Parent

After looking around the various schools in the area, Thorpe stood out for its friendliness, its ability to put you at ease, and by how 'normal' the other parents are. We could see how our boys would settle into the nurturing family environment that promotes individuality, but encourages them to be...

We chose Thorpe House for its warm and nurturing environment. Since our sons have been there they have thrived academically and socially. What sets Thorpe House apart for us is the fact every boy is encouraged to reach their full potential.

My wife and I have greatly enjoyed Thorpe House teachers, staff, administration and management. The entire staff's positive attitude and professionalism will be sincerely missed. Having moved into the community and school from outside the UK, the family atmosphere and warm reception we received...

The Thorpe House community is like a family. Everyone is warm and friendly and set such a good example for the boys. As you go through life, with a family of your own, you realise the important things. Academic success is not what it's all about and although we all want our children to be prepared...
