ACS Cobham International School recently appointed Chris Walker as the new High School Principal.
An experienced Maths, English and PE teacher, Mr Walker has worked in a number of roles within schools across Europe, the UK, South America and the Far East, most recently as Principal of a senior school in Venezuela. Mr Walker joins ACS Cobham taking over this role from Steve Baker, who retired this year after 35 years of service.

As High School principal Mr Walker will be responsible for approximately 560 students aged 14-18 studying a range of curricula. Programmes taught at ACS Cobham include the International Baccalaureate, and the American High School Diploma and Advanced Placement.

Mr Walker commented on his new appointment:

ACS Cobham has a fantastic reputation within the world of international education and I am looking forward to leading the High School to continued success and expansion over the coming school year. With ongoing developments of the schools performing arts centre and outdoor learning programme, it is exciting to be part of a school that puts excellent teaching and learning practices at the heart of all it does.

Tony Eysele, Head of School, ACS Cobham added:

I am sure Chris will be a great addition to the school, and his personal experiences in the world of international education will be an asset to the high school. He has already made a positive impression on teachers, students and parents alike!

This year, Jules Kingsley, who teaches Maths in the Middle School, has also been appointed as Assistant Principal of the Middle School.
