Spratton Hall win Uppingham's 'On the Buzzer' Challenge 2013

Lauren Duke, William Brinkman, Sophie Roberts and Maddie Weston were our Year 6 pupils who represented Spratton Hall at the annual Prep School 'On the Buzzer' challenge at Uppingham School this year.

It was a hard fought contest with wide ranging questions from 'what is the centre of an atom?' to 'how many rowers in the Cambridge/Oxford boat race?'. The Spratton Hall pupils rose to the challenge, knowing the answers to 'what is another word for zucchini?' and 'how many pieces do you start with on a backgammon set?' amongst many others and beat off competition from Beeston Hall, St Hugh's and Witham Hall to name but a few. The final was against Aldwickbury 'B' team who we had lost to in earlier rounds. It came down to the last two questions with Spratton winning the overall 'On the Buzzer' cup and a copy each of the 2013 Guinness Book of Records.
