Over 100 students from ACS Egham International School travelled to the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday 11th December, to perform at the annual CLIC Sargent Christmas concert.

CLIC Sargent is the UKs leading cancer charity for children and young people and their families, and the annual Christmas concert is its flagship fundraising event of the year.

Joining a choir made up of students from over twenty schools in and around London, the ACS Egham students performed an eclectic mix of Christmas songs, including Polar Express, Let It Be and Pop Medley 2013.

As well as performing in front of the charities supporters and celebrity patrons, the students also sang in front of specially invited children and families currently going through treatment.

During the concert, students had a chance to perform alongside American R&B singer, Jocelyn Brown, as well as watch performances by Britains Got Talent finalist, Connie Talbot, former X Factor contestant, Lucy Spraggen, and a dance act by the group Urban Strides.

Head of Music at ACS Egham, Irina Walters, commented on this years show:

It was wonderful to see our students come together with their peers from other schools to support CLIC Sargent. This is the seventh year in a row that we have taken part, and every year our students are always moved and determined to do their very best to help support the charitys important work with young people.

Performing at the Royal Albert Hall is very special, and I am sure it is an experience the students will remember for a long time to come.
