Prior's Field September 2018

Planning Girls' Futures

Published Monday 31st of March 2014 10:09:29 AM

Priors Field is opening its doors to the public for two events in May: School at Work Day on Friday 2, 10.30am to 12.30pm, and Careers Fair 2014 on Thursday 8, 6 to 8pm. If you are considering the second stage of education for your daughter or planning her future after school, May is a good time to visit the Godalming-based, GSA school for girls aged 11 to 18.

School at Work Day is an opportunity for prospective parents to see Priors Field in action on a normal day. The school pursues a broad and innovative curriculum with over 20 subjects offered at A-Level. In its most recent ISI inspection, teaching was recognised as excellent and academic progress as exceptional. Nearly three quarters of all A-Level grades in 2013 were A*-B with 82% of top grades in Maths and 86% in Creative Arts subjects: every student went on to their first choice university.

Head Julie Roseblade says: Girls work hard and are ambitious, but high achievement comes without unnecessary stress and unhealthy intensity. To quote the Tatler Schools Guide, Priors Field girls are the sort of girls you want your daughters to turn into.

The Careers Fair is a free event open to the public for Fourth Formers upwards: a chance to gain first-hand advice from over 60 career professionals representing areas from Science, Mathematics and Engineering to Art, Design, Investment Banking and PR, with UCAS, Oxbridge and Surrey Universities also having stands.
