ACS Hillingdon students perform at 'Hillingdon's Got Talent'

Over sixty students recently took part in the annual Hillingdons Got Talent event, performing a range of acts including comedy, singing and orchestral pieces in front of a packed live audience.

Now in its fifth year, the Hillingdons Got Talent show was set up by ACS Hillingdon parent Amanda Philipe-Savage, with the aim of uniting parents, students and teachers whilst celebrating the unique talents of the performers.

Highlights of this years show included an outstanding modern dance routine by Grade 12 student, Bori Kereszturi, who went on to be crowned High School Winner. This was followed by an impressive string and percussion performance by the ACS String Ensemble.

The proceedings concluded with a duet by Noah Maurer and economics teacher, Mr. Henry Zacchini, who performed a freestyle routine on the drums. This is the first time a student has collaborated with a teacher, reflecting the increasing popularity of the show across ACS Hillingdon.

Money raised on the night through ticket sales will be added to the funds available for the ACS Hillingdon Gifts Programme, which allows parents, students and teachers to choose an item to buy which will enhance the teaching and learning experiences for students at the school. So far the Gifts Programme has been used to purchase a piano, disco ball, microphones, and wigs for the schools Performing Arts programme.

Its brilliant to see Hillingdons Got Talent succeed for its fifth year, and even more satisfying to see the joy and excitement it brings to the students. The quality of the performances was extremely high, and it is lovely to see all the hard work the students and teachers have been putting in flourish on stage.
