Wearing Red and White for Japan

Published Wednesday 30th of March 2011 07:54:10 PM

Wearing Red and White for Japan the boys and staff couldnt have been in a more contrasting situation to those suffering in Japan at the moment. On a glorious day set free from school uniform the boys at Aldwickbury School enjoyed the wonderful grounds and the sun on their backs during their break times. In assemblies for the Pre-Prep and Years 3 - 8 the conditions that those in Japan are dealing with was sensitively portrayed so that they could understand the purpose behind the day.

Our Red and White day was a huge success and we have raised over 1000 for the charity Shelter Box who are sending emergency boxes to those in need in Japan. There is no doubt that this national disaster has touched all of our hearts and we hope that our small action will help those affected by the earthquake and tsunami.
