Paddy and Scott’s opened its doors for the first time at Culford School on Tuesday 8 September, launching a modern and relaxing café for pupils and parents to visit. Based in the school’s Sports and Tennis Centre, the new facility is a partnership between the school, its caterers, Edwards and Blake, and the innovative Suffolk based coffee company that is Paddy and Scott’s. Paddy and Scott’s café in Bury St Edmunds is already a great favourite at Culford and everyone is delighted to discover that they can now pick up their favourite drinks at school. Paddy Bishopp, one of the co-founders of Paddy and Scott’s said, “We are so proud of this new initiative at Culford School. We are delighted that we can now offer the Paddy and Scott’s café experience to all the students, parents and teachers at Culford”. Shirley Edwards, Managing Director at Edwards and Blake, commented, “This is a great new partnership and we look forward to serving great coffee and delicious cakes, pastries and hot snacks, alongside some healthy treats. The new café provides a great space for the 6th Formers as well as creating a meeting place for parents, visitors and members of the Sports and Tennis Centre who can all enjoy a high street café experience.” The modern coffee shop will be used by pupils, staff and members of the Sports and Tennis Centre at different times throughout the week. Sixth Form pupils in particular will be able to use the space socially as well as to study independently. Paddy and Scott’s is just one of the new facilities available to Culford Sixth Formers; Culford’s new state of the art £2.2m Library also opened this week providing a stunning, light and airy space including a mezzanine available for the exclusive use of Sixth Formers.
