Climbing Adventure for Dauntsey’s Pupils Adventure at Dauntsey’s has got off to a flying start this term. No sooner had they unpacked their bags, than eleven intrepid pupils from the School’s Climbing Club were venturing down to the sea to climb at the infamous Dancing Ledge near Swanage in Dorset. Sam Moore, Head of Adventure Education, Dauntsey’s School summed up the day: “A rough sea made for exciting climbing above the pounding waves, as pupils practiced both moving over the rocks and belaying* each other, in what must be one of the most trusting sports. “Abseiling onto a rock island where the only way to get off was to climb out, rounded off a day of great adventure.”
