Spratton Hall joins in with IAPS Power Pass
Published by Spratton Hall on Thursday 24th of September 2015
Spratton Hall took part yesterday in the IAPS (Independent Association of Prep Schools) rugby ball challenge to celebrate the Rugby World Cup and to raise funds and awareness for the Wooden Spoon Charity. 150 of our pupils from Year 3 to 8 clocked up an impressive 48,970 rugby ball passes in 15 minutes. This challenge is being repeated across the country by schools that are members of IAPS to hopefully reach an overall target of 500,000 passes. If each pass has 10p donated for it then £50,000 could be raised. The Wooden Spoon charity, the children’s charity of rugby, uses the power of this wonderful game to change the lives of children and young people across the UK who are socially, mentally or physically disadvantaged by providing funding for a diverse range of projects such as sensory rooms, medical centres and specialist playgrounds. Wooden Spoon relies on its supporters and volunteers to raise vital funds for their cause with every single penny raised staying in the local community, helping the lives of local children. If you would like to donate money for this worthwhile cause please either use this just giving site www.justgiving.com/woodenspoon or to donate £5 to this event text PASS£5 to 70070.
