Families at ACS Egham International School recently took part in a charity Fun Run organised by the school’s Parent Teacher Organisation to raise money for StreetInvest. Students, parents and staff at ACS Egham joined together to take part in a five kilometre Fun Run around the school’s Cross Country team course, which stretches around the green fields and trees that surround the campus, and the neighbouring Crown Estate. During the day runners and spectators donated money to StreetInvest, a charity that works to improve the rights and welfare of street children across the world. Joanna Maier, ACS Egham PTO Service Coordinator, said, “Everyone had a wonderful day catching up with old friends and meeting new families that have joined the school. A big thank you to everyone that helped raise £500 for StreetInvest, we are delighted to be supporting such a worthwhile cause.” Participants in the Fun Run also got the chance to test their speed with the fastest adult male and adult female being awarded a prize at the end of the race. Noud Gietelink and Taryn Lee, who attend ACS Egham in grades 7 and 2 respectively won the fastest boy and girl award with Noud being named the overall winner of the race.
