French trip

Published Thursday 5th of May 2011 02:51:14 PM

Last week Year 6 pupils took part in an exciting trip to France which offered the children an enjoyable experience of the country and the French culture, as well as a number of opportunities to try out their language skills.

As part of the programme of excursions whilst there, they visited the Muse 3945 to complement the childrens study of WWII at School and explored the historic town of Boulogne. On a visit to a Boulangerie the children learned at first hand how bread and croissants are made and at Le Succs Berckois they saw humbugs and lollies being created by hand.

The trip included beach games and activities and a shopping opportunity for the children where they tried out their French. All rounded off with a meal in a French caf before returning home.
