Good deed countdown to Christmas
Published by Sibford School on Tuesday 1st of December 2015
Young pupils at Sibford School near Banbury are committing themselves to doing a good deed a day in the run up to Christmas. Pupils in the Junior School, which teaches children from the age of three through to 11, have all been given a Good Deeds Advent Calendar and are being encouraged to help as many people as possible as they count down to the big day. Edward Rossiter, assistant head in charge of Sibford Junior School said: “As we prepare for Christmas we are encouraging the children to think of others. “We want them to do a good deed every day from 1st December through to Christmas Eve and to write it down in the box provided. After Christmas we will be asking the children to bring their calendars back into school so that we can see just how many different good deeds have been done.” Pictured: 10-year-olds Tennison Witherford and Sofia Nycander Calnan undertake their first good deed … emptying the recycling bin.
