ACS Egham International School students were in full voice to show their support for children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent at its Christmas Celebration 2015 with Young Voices at the Royal Albert Hall. ACS Egham, one of the largest choirs to take part, joined with school children from across the UK to make up a 1,500 strong choir that performed to raise money for the children’s cancer charity. The hugely successful evening held in the Main Auditorium, drew a large audience that included young patients and families helped by the charity and raised thousands of pounds. Over 100 students aged between 10 and 18 took part in the concert and had a great time singing a medley of songs including Believe, All You Need Is Love and a collection of Andrew Lloyd Webber hits. Everyone was also delighted to be joined on stage by music industry names like Hudson-Taylor, Little Giants, Tom Billington and Lucy Rose. Irina Walters, ACS Egham music teacher and trip coordinator, said, “We have been attending the CLIC Sargent Christmas Celebration since 2007 and the event is always very popular with our students and families. “The Royal Albert Hall is such an incredible and inspiring venue and everyone had a fantastic time coming together to raise money and awareness for such a great cause.”
