Dean Close School recently opened a new Sports Pavilion built to replace the traditional old pavilion destroyed by a fire in 2006. The new facility was designed to complement the architecture of the Sports Hall (opened in 2007) and has a full glass frontage overlooking the 1st XI pitch.Legendary cricketer, Tom Graveney OBE, whose son Tim was a pupil at the School, formally unveiled the new Kenyon Pavilion. Tom is Test Cricket's oldest living centurion and played for England, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire during his career. He spoke with warm affection of his association with the School and reminisced about past matches and former glories.
