Oxbridge Success for Warwick School and King’s High School students

Intense competition hasn’t stopped students from Warwick School and King’s High School receiving a sweep of offers from the prestigious Oxford and Cambridge Universities. The 13 students; Sam Barron OW, Emily Beevers, Madeleine Briggs, James Fellows, Harry Fitzpatrick OW, Lauren Fletcher, Kate Hammond, Gabriel Humphreys, Ronit Kanwar, Celia Keay, Thomas McAuliffe, Hok Leung Nip, Frederick Williams are set to study their chosen subjects including Modern History, Mathematics, Music, Chemistry and Law. Warwick School Senior Prefect, Ronit Kanwar, who has received an offer to read Economics and Management at Keble College said, “I am really excited about my offer and obviously need to work hard to make sure I get the grades. These offers are testament to the hard work put in by the school and individuals. They have opened up incredible opportunities for us all, and I am really looking forward to university life.” Madeleine Briggs, Deputy Head Girl at King’s High School, who has received an offer to study History at St. Hugh’s College said, “I’m very excited about this amazing opportunity – though I still can’t quite believe it.” Applauding their success and determination Gus Lock, Head Master of Warwick School commented, “Competition for places at these and many other prestigious universities seems to get stronger every year, so I was delighted that 8 of our pupils gained offers from Oxford and Cambridge this year as well as many more at other leading universities. It is an extremely fine achievement by all of these students.”
