Dauntsey’s Record Broken at Paris Half Marathon 2016

Photograph shows: Squad of runners from Dauntsey’s who completed the Paris Half Marathon Emily Neve, a sixth form pupil at Dauntsey’s has broken the School’s record for girls by running the Paris Half Marathon in a very fast time of 1 hour 39 minutes. On the boys’ side, Will Harding and Sam New recorded an impressive time of 1 hour 23 minutes, finishing only seconds apart to knock off 2nd and 3rd place School records also. A team of 26 pupils and four staff competed in the Half Marathon, alongside 37,108 other runners from all over the world. Kerri Bradley, Deputy Director of Sport, Dauntsey’s said: “Everyone enjoyed the incredible experience of running through the streets of Paris, encouraged by a great number of bands, entertainers and crowds of supporters - including plenty of Dauntsey's parents. “We were thrilled that everyone finished and with the excellent results as just embarking on this race is impressive in itself. Congratulations go to not only our fastest runners but also to all our exhausted, happy finishers have every right to feel very proud of their achievements.”
