ACS Hillingdon students take audiences to Wonderland with musical

Talented students at ACS Hillingdon International School recently staged ‘The Trials of Alice in Wonderland’ to impressed family, friends and the school community. The play, a musical adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic tale, is set in Wonderland’s courtroom and follows Alice as she faces trial from the Queen of Hearts. Incorporating music, song and dance, the 9 to 13-year-old performers took on the famous roles of the Mad Hatter, the Caterpillar and the Tweedles to help Alice re-live her adventures and wake up from the dream of Wonderland. Alongside the all-dancing, all-singing 22-strong cast, a production team made up of students and parents created the topsy-turvy Wonderland set, including the costumes, make-up and lighting. Kara Grinham, ACS Hillingdon High School teacher, directed the play: “There was such a fantastic energy on the night of the performance, the students really enjoyed taking on such a fun adaptation of a classic. We’re all proud of the hard work we put in and the brilliant end result!”
