CHS Celebrates Prestigious St Mary's Senior School Annual Public Speaking Team Award

On Wednesday 20th April, Year 10 pupils Adam Hills, Matthew Adcock and Alfred Riddell gave a superb team performance to win the prestigious St Mary's Senior School Annual Public Speaking Competition. Alfred hosted the session as a calm, reassuring and professional Chairman; Matthew captivated the audience with his fluent, note-free talk on 'Materialism; and Adam gave a lively, amusing and skilfully relaxed proposal of thanks. The three managed to claim the impressive shield for Best Team - ahead of CRGS, CCHS, St Helena, St Benedict's, The Colne, and Philip Morant schools. Congratulations! Many thanks also to the competitors' parents, Mrs Long and Dr Georgiou for all their support throughout training and for attending the competition as audience.
