Warwick School student Zien Zhou competed and won the London Mini Wheelchair Marathon on Sunday. The Mini London Marathon is a championship event for young wheelchair athletes, the course is three miles long and the participants must be able to self-propel themselves throughout. There is a time limit of 45 minutes Zien decided just back in November to join Coventry Godiva Harriers Wheelchair Racing Academy with the goal of competing in this major event for the first time and with less than six months training. He trained three times a week, for two hours each session. He has been taking part in wheelchair basketball and cycling at home for approximately 25 kilometers on the days he had no training. Zien was presented with his trophy by Prince Harry.
