Lion King show a roaring success at ACS Cobham

Published Tuesday 3rd of May 2016 12:17:06 PM

Talented Lower School students at ACS Cobham delighted friends, family, teachers and peers recently with their production of Disney classic ‘The Lion King.’ For their biggest production to date, the 78 stars, aged from six to 10, made up the cast, stage crew and musical ensemble and took the spotlight with their singing, dancing and acting skills. The colourful scenery and the eye-catching array of costumes, created by staff, parent helpers and students, transported the audiences to a magical African Savannah. Sue Aitsaadi, director and ACS Cobham Lower School music teacher, commented: “The students have been rehearsing hard for 10 weeks and it has been fantastic to see it all come together in the final performances. It’s wonderful seeing the students take on their characters and the excitement build throughout rehearsals – we hope they will remember this experience for many years to come.”
