ACS Hillingdon students embark on trip to France

Fifty-three middle school students from ACS Hillingdon have recently returned from an exciting trip to a remote area of France. The students visited the natural region of Camargue in southern France, discovering the local flora and fauna. Students were lucky enough to see white Camargue horses roaming the vast plain; an ancient breed of horse indigenous to the Carmague area, as well as spotting a large number of pink flamingos. Stephen Sullivan, French and Spanish teacher and trip coordinator, commented: “The trip was a fantastic opportunity to discover a rural off-the-beaten-track area of France which does not receive many visitors. Students thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the different wildlife roaming the area and it was a delight to see them develop their social skills as they found themselves in a place totally unfamiliar to home”.
