Published Wednesday 29th of June 2016 10:03:22 AM

Students from ACS Hillingdon International School celebrated the end of an era at their graduation ceremony, attended by over 200 well-wishers, including family members, teachers and friends. The 57 students, aged 17-18 years, have just finished studying for their pre-university qualifications. Students studied either the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP), the Advanced Placement (AP) curriculum, the Honours programme or the US High School Diploma. The IBDP is an internationally recognised qualification that will allow the students to continue their studies at universities worldwide. The AP is highly regarded by universities in North America, as is the High School Diploma. The inspirational guest speaker at the graduation ceremony was British mountaineer Andy Kirkpatrick, who discussed how to overcome challenges and the merit of achieving personal goals. Dawn Ekstrom, High School Principal, commented: “The graduation ceremony was a special event for our final year students; it was wonderful to hear from our student speakers. The Class of 2016 have achieved so much and we are truly proud of them.”
