Millfield Prep's Senior Choir created a colourful and vibrant collaboration of sound in a concert with a Kenyan Choir. Starting with the Kenyan national anthem and then the Millfield Camerata from the Senior School, they presented a splendid performance ranging from Billy Joel arrangements to James Macmillan and then to Paul Simon. This was followed by a lively display from the Singing Children of Africa from Mombasa who are touring to help raise funds for Educate the Kids. This is a charity dedicated to giving underprivileged children in Africa a better education by funding to build, furnish and staff an orphanage. "I really enjoyed watching their faces as they danced and sang because they were really enthusiastic and were enjoying it," said Caity. The pupils described the Kenyan Choir as being ‘toe-tapping, inspirational, jubilant and confident with amazing, colourful costumes'. Following the Kenyan Choir Millfield Prep's choir showcased beautiful performances of Shoshone Love Song, Ave Verum Corpus and Pompeii. Eva said "This night was a smiling night from the point that we got on the bus and all started singing our songs. We met some wonderful people that all danced, smiled and sang really well".
