Apple Day fun for Hazlegrove Pre-Prep

Published Monday 7th of November 2016 04:16:12 PM

Living in the West Country, an area famous for famous for its apples, the Hazlegrove Pre-Prep children were delighted to celebrate Apple Day by bringing in apples of all shapes and sizes to school and by enjoying a day of apple-related activities. Apple Day is always a hugely popular event in the Hazlegrove Pre-Prep calendar and this year was no exception. Excitement had been building all week and the children brought apples of all shapes, sizes and varieties to school. Activities included weighing, rolling and peeling their apples and making apples crowns, bags and tags. Apple pictures were also designed on the computers. However, the favourite activities were the tasting and comparing of the different varieties of apples, choosing the best ones, and of coarse the ever-popular task of coating apples in chocolate ready to take home at the end of the day! All in all it was an excellent way to celebrate the tradition of Apple Day.
