Three Culford Pupils have recently competed in the Suffolk County Championships. Charlie Whyte (L5), William Tozer (F4) and Niamh Perry (L5) competed in the long distance freestyle events, held at UEA SportsPark, Norwich. After competing in the same event last month, both Charlie and William improved on their PBs with some fantastic swimming over the events. In the 1500m Freestyle, William swam a 38 second PB, to finish 5th overall in the 14 years age group in Suffolk. Charlie was up next, picking up the silver medal in the 16 years age group, alongside achieving his PB. Niamh competed in the 800m Freestyle event and dominated the 15 years age group to win the overall County title with a 20 second PB. It was a great start to their County Championships campaign, with all swimmers heading to Ipswich in February to compete in the final block of County Championship events.
