Spratton Hall and Sam Quek, MBE

Spratton Hall had the honour of Sam Quek, MBE, present the end of year prizes to the Prep School and our Year 8 leavers on Friday 7th July 2017. Sam is a British field hockey player who plays as a defender for both England and Great Britain hockey teams. Sam won an Olympic gold medal as part of the British team at the 2016 Summer Olympics by beating the Netherlands in the final in a nail-biting penalty shoot-out. Sam gave Spratton Hall’s pupils, parents and families a glimpse into her life journey through an inspirational talk. Sam ensured that all that listened realised that to be the best you need determination, belief in yourself and grit in bucket loads and with these you really can be the best.
