Upper Sixth Former Archie Young-Lee has been offered a place to study trombone at the Royal Northern College of Music in September. This is a tremendous achievement for Archie, who already plays the trombone with the LSSO (London Schools Symphony Orchestra). The Royal Northern College of Music is a leading international conservatoire in the heart of Manchester, with a reputation for attracting talented musicians from all over the world. Archie will study the Bachelor of Music in Classical Performance programme, which he is extremely excited about. Director of Music at Bedford School, Jonathan Sanders, said, “This is an incredible achievement for Archie, especially considering he started serious trombone playing relatively late compared to most other successful candidates, and is a testament to his determination and hard work to develop his skills. We are very pleased for him!”
