Bronze medal for Sibford triathlete

Reuben Trotter, a pupil at Sibford School in Oxfordshire, gained the bronze medal in the under 20s category of the European Age Group Triathlon Championships held at Strathclyde Country Park as part of the European Championships Glasgow 2018. Reuben was among 483 competitors who completed the Age Group Sprint Distance which took place on Saturday August 11. Age Group participants get the opportunity to represent their nation on the same course as the elite athletes. Reuben received his medal during the Age Group Medal Ceremony which took place immediately following the Elite Mixed Team Relay Medal Ceremony. “It was a challenging course, with many hills on both the bike and the run, so I was pleased with my bronze medal position,” said 17-year-old Reuben. “I am now looking forward to representing GB Elite where I have qualified for The Super League Triathlon in Jersey at the end of September.”
