Sixth Form Induction Conference
Published by Bedford School on Tuesday 18th of September 2018
Following feedback from last year’s Sixth Formers, Bedford School held their first Sixth Form Induction Conference, to provide guidance, set expectations and provide helpful advice on how to make the most out of the Sixth Form. During the day, the boys heard from keynote speaker, Guy Richardson, a lecturer on leadership and high performance teams at Durham University and the University of Bath. Guy treated the boys to a motivational lecture on his area of expertise. The school’s newly appointed Head boy and senior prefects gave an address on how to approach the Sixth Form from a student perspective. In the final interactive session of the day, the boys were given the chance to reflect and discuss the key messages, as well as commit to three individual objectives to achieve during their time in the Sixth Form. The boys were then joined at a reception by Sixth Formers from sister school: Bedford Girls’ School, who will join them for numerous lectures, societies and activities over the next two years.
