Oakham students receive offers from Oxbridge

Tuesday 26 Mar 2019 Four Oakhamians are celebrating after receiving offers to study at Oxford and Cambridge Universities, two of the world’s most prestigious academic institutions. The A-level and IB students have received offers to read History and Economics, Chemistry, Human, Social and Political Sciences (HSPS) and Spanish and Russian. Dr Darren Sheppard, Oakham’s Senior Academic Mentor said, “It has been a pleasure to help the four successful candidates through the application process – they have worked extraordinarily hard through what is a demanding process and are wholly worthy of their offers.” Cambridge have made offers to two Oakham School students. Meg has an offer from Gonville and Caius College to read Spanish and Russian and Carlotta has an offer to read Human, Social and Political Sciences (HSPS) from Homerton College. Oxford have also made two offers to two Oakham School students. Oliver has an offer to read Chemistry at Exeter College and Holly has an offer to read History and Economics at Regent’s Park College.
