Prior's Field - More A* Gold Medal Winners after their 24 month A Level Marathon is achieved with Personal Bests for All!

With an A Level preparation like no cohort before them, the Prior’s Field class of 2021 have achieved so much to be celebrated and shown a resilience and stamina worthy of comparison to an Olympian medal winner. This has been no ordinary year and the results achieved are extraordinary and are very much deserved. With 39% A*, 77% A* to B and 100% pass rate, every member of the Upper Sixth has a new personal best to shout about.

Having to pass the baton between them for a top spot were four girls who achieved a trio of three A*s each. Isabella Francks and Georgia Denton are both heading to Durham to read Psychology and Geography respectively, and Head Girl Kariella Keane and Lucia Martinez from Spain are both using their triple A* success to launch them onto a medical degree.

Top of the podium with a new personal best was Head Girl Kariella last seen scoring 9 level 9s at GCSEs whilst similar distinctive success was achieved by Deputy Head Girl Havana Picken with A* in Psychology, A in RS, Distinction* in Music Technology and A in her EPQ on leadership in religious cults.

The range of university courses and destinations is as diverse as the talents of the girls. Lily Phillips was the third and last member of her family to attend Prior’s Field and departs to Birmingham University to read International Development and Politics having secured A*, 2 As and a B, whilst Yusra Dahri will be taking just a short journey to the University of Surrey where she will continue her passion for Creative Writing having achieved 2 A*s and an A in English, RS and Biology. Not surprisingly after such as turbulent build-up several girls have opted to take a gap year such as Science superstar Abi Clarkson who achieved A*s in Biology and Psychology and an A in Chemistry and is looking forward to an enriching year and planning her future course of study.

Architecture at Portsmouth, Law at Leeds, International Management & Modern Languages at Bath and Animal Science at Nottingham were amongst the other future destinations for this talented year group.

Head Tracy Kirnig said:
“After a 24 month build-up more challenging than any Olympic Marathon our girls are safely over the finish line with results worthy of any Olympic podium. I am so proud of the resilience this year group have shown and know that every one of these excellent results are thoroughly deserved”
