With plans now approved for an all-weather sports pitch at Prior's Field, and construction underway, the PE Department is eagerly awaiting its completion and future use. The pitch is likely to be ready for games towards the end of the Spring Term 2012.

Priors Field has also recently been accepted into London 2012s Get Set Network the official London 2012 education programme in recognition of its commitment to Olympic and Paralympic values, namely: friendship, excellence, respect; inspiration, courage, determination and equality. Priors Field is actively involved in the local community, allowing members of the general public to hire its facilities. The school has links with local sports clubs and runs volunteering programmes whereby its students coach younger children at the clubs.

Priors Field is planning an Inter-House Olympics Competition where each year group will take part in different sports so that every single girl in the school is involved. Other departments in the school have already taken up the Olympics theme: the Maths Department hosted an Olympics Day in conjunction wit h Cambridge University for 76 students in Year 9; in Art, students have been drawing the movement of athletes and in History, pupils have been considering security issues linked to the Games.
