Historic Hockey Success for Canford

For the first time in Canford's history, all six hockey squads have become County champions. It is also the only time that one school in the county has won all six titles and teams have then progressed to the West of England championships.

Results were as follows:
U18 Boys: 11-0 v Gillingham in the semis, 1-0 v Sherborne in the final.
U16 Boys: 2-0 v Bryanston in the semis, 2-1 v Clayesmore in the final.
U14 Boys: 5-0 v Bryanston in the semis, 6-0 v Sherborne in the final.
U18 Girls: 7-0 v Bryanston in the semis, 3-1 v Sherborne Girls in the final.
U16 Girls: 3-0 v St Mary�s in the semis, 1-0 v Sherborne Girls in the final.
U14 Girls: 1-0 v St Mary�s in the semis, 1-0 v Sherborne Girls in the final.

The West of England Championships for the boys will be held at Millfield School in March. The girls held their championships earlier in the season, with the U16s winning through to the National Finals in Birmingham after a triumph against Blundell�s 2-1 in the regional finals.
