CASH FOR YOUR ANTIQUES!

The popular daytime television show, Dickinson's Real Deal, which is regularly watched by over a million people, filmed at Howell's School, Denbigh, on Saturday 30th October. Hundreds of local people brought their antiques to be valued by the experts. Many of them were filmed speaking with an expert and choosing whether to take the money or gamble at auction. Mrs Hickman, Business Development Manager at Howell's School, was delighted to not only be filmed, but also to receive 400 for two ivory figures. Other objects of interest were an antique teddy bear, a music box, a Spanish galleon, and many items of beautiful furniture. Howell's School was delighted to host the event and to meet the star of the programme, Mr David Dickinson, who spent the entire day at the school giving advice and evaluations. The programme will be shown on television next Spring. The next celebrity visiting Howell's School will be Nerys Hughes, an ex-pupil of the school who has starred in many television series, but is most famously known for the BBC series of "The Liver Birds".
