Warwick School Appoints New Head

Ed Halse, Head Master of Warwick School is retiring after 11 years of outstanding service to the school.Gus Lock, who is currently Deputy Head at Warwick, has been appointed as his successor.
Mr Lock will join the school as Head Master in September 2013 and at a particular high point following a glowing inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).
In its main findings the ISI praises Warwick School commenting that, 'In both the junior school and the senior school the quality of the pupils' personal development is excellent. Pupils' behaviour is outstanding; courtesy abounds and helpfulness thrives.'
On the quality of pupils' achievement and learning, the report says, 'Throughout the school the quality of the pupils' achievements is excellent. They are eager to learn, to demonstrate their learning and to share it.'
Mr Halse, Head Master said 'I am delighted with the inspectors' views as they accurately recognise Warwick School as a safe, exciting, stimulating and challenging environment for our boys. I am also extremely pleased to be handing the reins to Mr Lock who is an exceptionally talented professional who possesses all the qualities necessary to ensure Warwick School continues to progress in all areas.'
On his appointment Mr Lock comments, 'I am thrilled to have been appointed Head Master of Warwick School. This is an exciting time for the school and I look forward to building on the exceptional opportunities the boys enjoy whilst maintaining the impressive standards laid down by the current Head Master, Ed Halse.'
