Sicily Adventures

Our intrepid geographers headed off to the island of Sicily in October. Climbing both Etna and Volcano, both on foot and in very cool 4x4 trucks, they experienced first-hand amazing volcanic activity, huge craters and sulphurous mud pools (rather smelly!) as well as some spectacular views. The geographers also investigated coastal erosion and river features, explored Roman amphitheatres and stunning gorges."My best [day] would have to be the day we climbed Etna because it felt amazing and weird to be stood on a volcano. The 4x4 trucks were good as well.'
