Ideally situated in 26 acres of parkland overlooking the Bourne Valley, Westbrook Hay Prep School provides a happy and well organised learning environment where staff are caring and committed. All children from ages rising 3 -13 years enjoy an atmosphere in which each can fulfil their own potential both academically and socially.

Children are given a solid grounding in literacy and numeracy through access to a well-balanced curriculum; are encouraged to become confident, considerate and courteous members of their community.

The School is boasting a new Lower School with spacious classrooms, playground and all the facilities young children need. In addition a superbly equipped new Art facility has just been opened for the benefit of all the children in the school from year 3 upwards. Two state of the art IT suites are a recent addition to the facilities of the school for the teaching of ICT and also for use in other areas of the curriculum.

Extensive playing fields give ample room for all major sports including golf. All weather netball/tennis courts and heated swimming pool are complemented by a purpose built Sports Hall which provides badminton, cricket nets, five a side football, gymnastics and a galaxy of other indoor activities.

A modern Middle School with six additional classrooms and new Science and Design and Technology Centres. The School’s commitment to advancing the place of information technology in the curriculum is evident in the two specialist IT suites and computers in every classroom.

Occasional boarding for children aged 7 and over, Breakfast Club and After School Club are also available. Scholarship examinations take place in November and March. Open mornings October, March and May.

The pupil's overall achievement is excellent, well supported by a broad and very well planned curriculum and good teaching.

      Independent Schools Inspectorate, 2011

The effectiveness of the early years foundation is outstanding. The quality of the provision is outstanding. Through excellent understanding of differing developmental stages and careful observations, staff plan challenging and enjoyable work for each child across all learning areas.
