From Karl Guest, Headmaster

The minute you step foot in Alton School you feel the sense of family, care and community.

We have a fantastic team of teaching and support staff who all work incredibly hard to achieve the very best academic results for all our pupils, always putting individual progress and each child’s wellbeing first.

Alton is an all-through School with a clear academic offer, one that recognises global demands, one that encourages ambition and one that is holistic and prepares our young for the world that they will inhabit.

We are a school that celebrates progress, that is truly rigorous, purposeful and that aims to always achieve the highest educational standards. At the centre of this one school community approach is a continuous educational and pastoral journey which is planned strategically for each student from 6 months to 18 years.

It has been a challenging time for schools, but Alton has responded with great determination and shown what is possible when everyone pulls together. Our interactive Alton@Home Remote Learning programme has been a tremendous success and I am delighted with the progress our pupils have made and extremely grateful to our staff who have gone above and beyond. Our impressive A level and GCSE results are testament to the commitment of our students and the support of the Alton School community.

We are delighted that we can welcome visitors into school so please do join us at one of our Open Events to see Alton School in action.
