Phil competes for Wales

TS student, Phil Stickler, has been chosen to compete in Spain this week to represent Wales in the Junior Nations Golf Championships.

Phil, 17, regularly competes in smaller competitions and has been playing Golf for the last 6 years with this opportunity to compete for Wales being a first.

Golf runs in the family for Phil, as his dad is a keen golfer. Phil has also had the opportunity to play and train with a family friend who has recently been on a European Tour.

Phil is often seen taking part in School golfing events and also received a lot of support from Hugh Todd, Phil's previous Housemaster and M/I of Golf, who left Taunton School at the end of 2012.

Phil will be competing in a team of 12 and started the competition on Thursday, March 7th.
