The Wymondham College Annual Art Exhibition, Perspectives 2, is open at the Forum in Norwich this week.It is a showcase for the outstanding work of the College's Art students across a wide range of media. The Private View of the Exhibition took place on Monday evening and was well attended by students, parents, dignitaries and friends of the College.
The Exhibition was officially opened by Nichola Johnson, former Director of the Sainsbury Centre for the Visual Arts, a Trustee of the National Trust and a Governor of the College. In opening the Exhibition Ms Johnson paid tribute to the work of the outgoing Head of Art, Mr Mike Chambers whom she described as "a kind of anarchist" and she praised the work of the students that was displayed. "The greatest creativity," she said, "took place when people knew the rules but pushed them to breaking point."
Many of the pieces were in demand from guests keen on the possibility of buying a piece of wonderful art for their own homes.
