Back to school for children's author

It was back to school for author and illustrator Helen Cowcher when she returned to Berkhampstead, Cheltenham - she had been at school here in the 1960's. Her love of art and words was fired here and she has gone on to write wonderful books about the natural world.
Young Berkhampstead artists were inspired by her talk on book design, and Year 2 children quizzed her about her travels and learned more about Africa. The Nursery children enjoyed two lovely stories and all loved seeing the large scale illustrations of toucans, sloths, penguins and elephants. A super day culminating with a book signing in the library!
