GODOLPHIN A-LEVEL RESULTS - 2014

Published on isbi School News dated Monday 18th of August 2014

Mrs Emma Hattersley, Headmistress, is delighted with the A-level results achieved by the Godolphin girls this year. 'Each and every single pupil this year can be confident that the results they worked so hard for represent real achievement and will give them a better, brighter start in life. Despite warnings from the Government and Ofqual that results will be significantly lower this year, we are thrilled with the achievements of the girls.'

A-Level Results 2014

There were 132 subject entries

A* - A Grades 46%
A* - B Grades 74%
A* - C Grades 90%
A* - D Grades 97%

We are particularly pleased to see almost a third of the cohort achieved at least 3 A/ A* grades and, of that number, 10% attained 4 A/A* grades. Between them the prefect team, led by Head Girl, Elizabeth Stewart and Deputy Head Girl, Hannah Bray, achieved 5 A*s, 18 As and 11 Bs. Three girls also undertook the EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) and all were awarded A* grades which is extremely encouraging.

The success was repeated at AS-level with a quarter of the year group gaining three or more A grades. Two girls excelled themselves by obtaining 5 A grades each, which is an outstanding achievement at this level. The AS results in general were extremely promising and bode well for next year.

Emma Hattersley said 'These grades are a testament to the excellent teaching we provide at Godolphin and to the fact that the staff know the girls very well. We pride ourselves on working closely with each individual girl in order to help her maximise her full potential and prepare her for life beyond Godolphin.'
