The Snow Queen and The Unicorn

This month The Unicorn School's very own thespian superstar, Mrs Helen Thrower, treated us to a magical rendition of a Hans Christian Anderson classic, the snow Queen. Adapted and directed by Peter Webster, The Snow Queen is the tale of a beautiful but cold-hearted queen who schemes to rule the world by scattering icy shards of glass into the eyes and hearts of good people. The villagers, aided by the raucous Panto Dame Nelly, must overthrow the evil Snow Queen and free themselves of her wickedness. Of course evil is its own undoing, and Nelly and her friends use their courage to defeat the Snow Queen and return summertime to their homeland. The Snow Queen was performed by Farringdon Dramatic Society and Nelly was played to perfection by our own Mrs Thrower. The performance was enjoyed by many of Mrs Thrower's former pupils who reunited to cheer her on, followed by a celebratory lunch. Mrs Thrower was bowled over by the encouragement of so many Unicorns past and present, and thanks them from her heart for their support.
Congratulations Mrs Thrower, we can't wait for the next performance!
