Aquatics Day
Published on isbi School News dated Thursday 14th of April 2016
Congratulations to everyone involved in the ACG Aquatics Day held at the Greerton Pools yesterday. Special thanks to Mrs. Jackie Webb, Greg Cummings, and Liz van Welie for programming and coordinating the day and encouraging the entire school to be involved. Special thanks also to our teachers and volunteer parents for timing races, keeping records and ensuring that all participants were supported and encouraged to have a go and do their best. It was great to see our students in Years 1 – 4 swim in the morning enjoying the activities in the water and then staying on to cheer from the sidelines as students from Years 5 – 10 participated in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly events. Towards the end of the day, boys, girls, and mixed relay events took place and the enthusiasm and excitement continued to build towards the final race of the day – boys V girls relay event. Students were able to relax for the last hour with a free swim. Congratulations once again to all participants and we look forward to Aquatics Day next year when our staff relay team will take on a student team :-). - See more at: http://www.acgedu.com/nz/tauranga/home/blog/10113-tauranga/aquatics-day#sthash.FcaIAZdP.dpuf
