The Jam Doughnut that Ruined My Life!

Bishop's Stortford College Prep School discovered how a doughnut can ruin your life thanks to author Mark Lowery. He spoke about writing and the importance of the hook, creating tension, portraying characters with empathy, and creating a fast paced plot line. Fortunately for Mark the fifty pupils from the First and Second Form book club agreed “The Jam Doughnut That Ruined My Life” did demonstrate all of the writing principles he had described and was great fun! Mark was impressed by observations from the book club readers and the imagination demonstrated in the two masterclass writing sessions he gave as pupils penned their own deadly doughnuts stories. A fabulous morning full of fun and energy was rounded off perfectly - with jam doughnuts!
