On 7th June, a 6.45am start saw 26 Prep School pupils getting on a coach to this year's National Aquathlon competition at Caterham School in Surrey. This competition for 7 – 13 year olds requires pupils to swim in the pool and then immediately, in a wet costume, to run a set distance. The distances include Intro (50m swim/500m run), Sprint (100m swim/1000m run), and Olympic (200m swim/2000m run). It was a very successful day, resulting in 20 medals overall, including three 1st place, six 2nd place, and two 3rd place medals. The pupils have been training since Easter over their selected distances, and Mrs Adkins commented that ‘All the pupils should be extremely proud of their success and their behaviour.'
